“Autumn is in the Air” at this Lake Tahoe Wedding

Autumn is rapidly moving into the winter season here in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Tahoe. Blue Sky Events just completed the last scheduled what we would deem “Fall Wedding” this past weekend.

This was truly an authentic Tahoe wedding held at the Painted Rock Lodge near Olympic Valley and Squaw Valley Ski Resort. This beautiful lodge is located right on the banks of the Truckee River and was complimented by colorful foliage and the feel of fall in the mountain air.

The couple just recently relocated here to the Lake Tahoe area, and wanted their guests to experience their love for the area’s beauty and activities. They welcomed everyone with a party aboard the Tahoe Queen Paddlewheel boat  with a three course dinner and dancing into the night.

The couple and close friends stayed at the lodge where the wedding took place, which was convenient for getting ready and limited transportation requirements. The bride chose a beautiful vintage design for her theme, which ran throughout the event from her veil to the table’s place settings. The ceremony took place on the banks of the river, which flows through the front yard of the Lodge. After the ceremony the reception took place on the large patio with a variety of food stations and a 6 piece band to entertain. Photo’s were taken by Monique Sady, a highly regarded local photographer, and also a long time friend of the bride.  www.photographybymonique.com
